Where am I?  News 6 05 June 2008

Côd Cristnogaeth

A comprehensive new documentary series starting on 17 June on S4C will take a new look on the art, icons, rituals, myths and miracles that have been central to the Christian faith for over two thousand years.

Over the next six weeks at 9.00pm on Tuesdays, the reputable journalist Tweli Griffiths will lead us on an interesting journey to 11 countries in the new series Côd Cristnogaeth (The Code of Christianity).

Questions raised in the series include: why does Christianity place such emphasis on flesh and blood; where do we go after death; what or whom are angels; what is the meaning of symbols; what are miracles and is there hope for unity within Christianity?

In his quest for answers Tweli visits places as diverse and different as the primitive frescoes in the ancient catacombs in Rome and the colourful pilgriage in Kulubi, Ethiopia and the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania.

Côd Cristnogaeth, S4C, starting on Tuesday, 17 June, 9.00pm.

Sub-titles available.
