THE CHURCHES’ TENT AT THE
EISTEDDFOD NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Again this year Wales’ Churches
which are members of Cytűn: Churches Together in
Wales will be offering a warm welcome on the
Eisteddfod field. We will have a large tent
where we will hold daily events including
worship. There will be a children’s activity
area and tea and coffee will be served
throughout the day, every day. There will also
be cold drinks at the non-alcoholic bar,
sponsored by the Welsh Council on Alcohol and
Other Drugs. There will be a Christian books
and resources stall and other Christian
organisations, such as the Bible Society, will
also be represented there. Over the last few
years this tent has turned out to be one of the
busiest on the field, offering a welcome and
hospitality to several thousand people during
the week.
But in order to ensure the
success of the tent we need volunteers – Welsh
and non-Welsh speakers.
There will be a planning
meeting at St James Methodist Church, Eureka
Place, Ebbw Vale, NP23 6LW on WEDNESDAY 21 APRIL 2010 at 7pm.
